The sea - La Mer

Closest to the sea is the straight road down through the wine area between Callas and Le Muy and then on to Sainte-Maxime. Sainte-Maxime is perhaps best known for the Swedish royal family having its house just outside the city. The town is cozy and well worth a visit. Try the Nartell beach and eat an expensive but very good lunch in a lovely setting on "Barco Beach". 

Nice beaches are also found between Frejus and Sainte-Maxime, about 40 minutes from the house. You will find long beaches with good parking. Frejus town is a little forgotten gem that is very cozy for a dinner before rounding out the day at the sea.
